The Rush lake is a beautiful high altitude lake in Gilgit Baltistan. It is near Rush pari peak at an elevation of 5,098 meters above sea level. The trek takes you into some of most amazing mountains beauties on earth. Its crossing glaciers, meadows and terraced fields of Karakoram Mountains. If we climb a nearby hilltop, we can see K2 along with the other high peaks of the Karakoram from there. Our short trek starts across the valley and the Hunza River at a place called Hoper. This is where the snout of the famous Barpu glacier meets another glacier called Bualter. Hunzakuts (people from Hunza) believe that glaciers are either male or female. Each glacier exudes its own gender qualities and when male and female glaciers meet they give birth to a baby glacier!

The trek to Rush lake starts from Hopper village, in the Nagar valley. The Journey from Aliabad to Hopper village takes about an hour. From Hopper village we can hire porters easily, who can carry the luggage up to the lake.
