The Rush lake is a beautiful high altitude lake in Gilgit Baltistan. It is near Rush pari peak at an elevation of 5,098 meters above sea level. Rush lake is on the height of 4,694m, Rush lake is 25 th highest lake of the world. Rush Lake trek in the heart of the Hunza valley, presents the best option. The trek takes you into some of most amazing mountains beauties on earth. Its crossing glaciers, meadows and terraced fields of Karakoram Mountains. If we climb a nearby hilltop, we can see K2 along with the other high peaks of the Karakoram from there. Our short trek starts across the valley and the Hunza River at a place called Hoper. This is where the snout of the famous Barpu glacier meets another glacier called Bualter. Hunzakuts (people from Hunza) believe that glaciers are either male or female. Each glacier exudes its own gender qualities and when male and female glaciers meet they give birth to a baby glacier!
Rush Lake Trek Hoper Nagar
The trek to Rush lake starts from Hopper village, in the Nagar valley. The Journey from Aliabad to Hopper village takes about an hour. From Hopper village we can hire porters easily, who can carry the luggage up to the lake. The Rush lake remains frozen during the winters because the surrounding mountains and peaks remain snow-capped even in the summers. Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and explore Los Angeles. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting at 7pm, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.
Your tour will conclude in San Francisco on Day 8 of the trip. There are no activities planned for this day so you're free to depart at any time. We highly recommend booking post-accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city!
